This was the first time seeing them and definitely had a good time. The venue was pretty cool too. The waitress was throwing down and gettin jiggy with it while getting people drinks. Plus I got a free coozy.

Elena is not liking the bottle as much recently so we're trying to fee her more table food. I gave her a few pieces of spagetti and turned around for a minute and found her like this.

Good times in NYC

 

so it took jet blue 45 minutes to de-ice the plane this morning. The only bad thing was that I only had a 30 minute layover in NYC for my connecting flight to Phoenix. The next flight is 12 hours later so I had some time on my hands. I decided to go into town and check out the sites. I didn’t come prepared to walk around NYC so I had to buy a sweatshirt and the only one on sale was a NY Islanders hoodie. Too bad the islanders are last in their division, doh! Maybe it’s a sign I should start watching hockey.

Anyway, a few train rides later I make it to times square and work my way over to the Nintendo store…. SO MONEY! I spent over an hour there and played all of the new games. I really like the wii fit board but did horrible at the snowboarding game. It’s alot more sensitive than the real thing so I kept crashing on the sides. Still loads of fun so maybe elena will get it for Father’s Day. (cough*hint*cough) From there I worked my way up through rock center and up to central park. It was nice to sit down and take a break, my backpack was getting pretty heaving from the things I bought. Next stop was the Lincoln center which is being partially renovated. By that point I was uber tired so I headed back. Overall, it was a good time. The worst part was having to go through security again.

On a side note, my iphone was really helpful. The maps app had all of the metro stops and times and the walking directions were on point. I also got to use the urbanspoon app for the first time, NY pizza… the best!

Finally, I say DANKU New York City, it was a unexpected but pleasant surprise. I’m looking forward to coming back with Ebomber.

can’t wait to fix the grass when the snow melts

              

I think this will be the last 2WD car/truck I own. This sucked getting the truck out and clearing the driveway. I need a Siesta in a bad way and just got to work  an hour and a half ago. I hope I can leave at a reasonable time.

glad I finally got to play ecoff and New Hanover

Ecoff and New Hanover are two really nice courses. New Hanover is only 9 holes but some of the holes are similar to blacksburg's course. Both courses have a let less traffic than BP or Gillies which adds to the pleasant experience. I would definitely say both courses are Monette, fo sho. 

Caution: ecoff's hole maps have very sharp corners... I fell over, I fell over again.

I like it, it was kind of a shocker at first but I think it looks good. Jenn only goes to the salon 3-4 times a year but when she goes, she's there for 3 hours.
